Lou's Biography
Geralen Joni Stack-Eaton was born to Jon Eaton and Susan Stack on October 25, 1989. Joni is her middle name because she was named after her dad. Today, everyone calls her Lou! Lou was born in Abington and grew up in Horsham, PA. She is currently in 6th grade at St. Alphonus School. She has one brother, Ryan, who is 17, and a sister, Melissa who is 22. Her mom works at Lou's school as a music teacher and her dad is an employee at Double H Plastics. Lou also has two cats, Sammy and Booka.
Geralen began gymnastics at the young age of 4. "When I was little, my mom said that I was doing splits and cartwheels all by myself and nobody taught me. So, people told my mom to put me in gymnastics," says Lou. She excelled in the sport and has been involved every since! Lou worked her way up to level ten at Ricochets Gymnastics and made the move to Parkettes Gymnastics in Allentown, PA in June 2001.
It seems like Lou made a great decision... Only about 8 months after switching to Parkettes, she qualified to Junior International Elite! Lou is making tremendous progress in gymnastics. She is a hard worker and very dedicated to the sport. She is coached at Parkettes by John Holman, Robin Netwall, Donna Strauss, and Bill Strauss. She also trains along side some of the best elites, including Kristal Uzelac, Tia Orlando, Nicole Harris, Vanessa Meloche, Annie Fogerty, Krista Jasper, Kim Loew, Paige Cipolloni, Kristina Coccia, and Brooke Borso.
Lou's main goal in gymnastics is to make it to the Olympics. The 2008 Olympics are 6 years away but Lou shows a lot of potential! She has the "gymnastics body" at 4 feet 6 inches, she can do some incredible skills at the young age of 12, and is competitive with gymnasts that have been doing gymnastics much longer than her! Who knows what the future holds for Lou...but things are looking great for her right now :)
